The Rounding Train: Rounding to the Nearest Ten and Hundred

Two images: the first is of a train driving through the mountaions with the text, "The Rounding Train: Rounding to the Nearest Ten and Hundred". The second image is a picture of one of the worksheets, it has a mountain shaped train track (looks like a curved hill) with the numbers one through ten evenly spaced along the track. The number five is at the middle (top of the track).

I made this set of activities to teach and practice the concept of rounding to the nearest ten and hundred for one of my teenage students.

The first three pages give an introduction to the topic and are designed to be read with the student before completing the worksheets/activities on the following pages.

The activity has a train theme, so it could work well for students who have that particular interest, but I've used it for other students as well, and I think it's a good visual aide, even if they don't have a special interest in trains.

You can download the activities free here: http://www.positivelyautism.com/downloads/roundingtrain.pdf
